Hello, my name is Chris. Avalon Art was created based on my interest in photography. My original photos were taken around the Northern Beaches area and I primarily focused on the many variations of the moods of Avalon Beach. Using software, I then took these photos and converted them into canvas artworks to resemble paintings rather than just photos. Having moved to Lake Macquarie, I am now focusing my photo-art on locations around the Central Coast, Newcastle and the Hunter Region. I am also converting some photos of my favourite shots of overseas locations. I hope you enjoy my "paintings".

These beautiful, colorful lanterns are from the town of Hoi-An, a world heritage site, in Vietnam. They are handcrafted using bamboo, wire and silk fabric. Vietnamese people believe that lighting the lanterns and floating them on the river will bring health and happiness

This would be a beautiful addition to a room that needs a bit of colour.
