Hello, my name is Chris. Avalon Art was created based on my interest in photography. My original photos were taken around the Northern Beaches area and I primarily focused on the many variations of the moods of Avalon Beach. Using software, I then took these photos and converted them into canvas artworks to resemble paintings rather than just photos. Having moved to Lake Macquarie, I am now focusing my photo-art on locations around the Central Coast, Newcastle and the Hunter Region. I am also converting some photos of my favourite shots of overseas locations. I hope you enjoy my "paintings".

One of the most beautiful beaches on the Central Coast of NSW, Soldiers Beach can be found at Norah Head, located between The Entrance and Toukley. It is a very popular surfing beach with an active surf club, kiosk, ample parking and beautiful coastal walks.

Norah Head is home to a lighthouse built in 1903. The beach was named after Soldiers Point, the headland south of Norah Head
