Hello, my name is Chris. Avalon Art was created based on my interest in photography. My original photos were taken around the Northern Beaches area and I primarily focused on the many variations of the moods of Avalon Beach. Using software, I then took these photos and converted them into canvas artworks to resemble paintings rather than just photos. Having moved to Lake Macquarie, I am now focusing my photo-art on locations around the Central Coast, Newcastle and the Hunter Region. I am also converting some photos of my favourite shots of overseas locations. I hope you enjoy my "paintings".

Description

Tanzania is home to a most wonderful place called the Ngorongoro Crater. It is the world’s largest inactive caldera that covers about 260 square kilometres and is about 600 meters deep. It was formed over 2 million years ago due to the collapse of an active volcano.

The crater is full of animals that were trapped after descending down to the crater and could not leave again and this resulted in them multiplying within the crater. Here you can find black rhinos, elephants, lions, buffalos, leopards, zebras and, of course, giraffes.

I just loved the pose of these two giraffes and I hope you do too.
